The NVS M644 4X RAPTOR is a GEN III OMNI IV MILSPEC
weapon sight. The “little brother” of the M646, the 4X RAPTOR can
identify a man-sized target at up to 1857 meters at 1/4 moon, and is
capable of achieving extreme long range accuracy. The 4X RAPTOR
incorporates the latest state-of-the-art GEN III Image Intensification
Tube technology, making it one of the most accurate night vision weapon
sight available.
The 4X RAPTOR is ideally suited for DMR and sniper
applications. But, its size makes it usable on standard AR
platforms and sniper rifles. It’s extremely rugged construction
will easily stand up to the recoil of large calibers including .50BMG
and .338 Lapua. The RAPTOR’s shock protected optics will easily
handle sustained fire from automatic weapons.
The 4X RAPTOR is lighter and more easily maneuverable
than the larger M646, making it ideal for dynamic operations. The
125mm Objective Lens collects an incredible amount of light, providing
one of the sharpest images available in an image intensification
scope. To protect the system, the RAPTOR series features an
advanced Bright Source Protection that will automatically shut down the
optic after 70 seconds exposure to bright light, saving the image
intensifier tube from damage. The 4X RAPTOR uses a red/ duplex
reticle with full windage and elevation adjustment. The shuttered
eye guard keeps the back splash of green light from escaping (giving
away the operator’s position), though it has been our experience that
it places the unit too close to the shooter’s eye on larger caliber
weapons. Removing the wedges in the shuttered eye guard fixes ths.
We have used a lot of different night vision devices and
the RAPTOR series is one of the best we’ve found.
The 4X RAPTOR is the apex of image intensification night vision
scopes. It’s resolution and clarity is unmatched and it is
ideally suited for multiple roles in the field. Whether perched
atop an M82A3 in a barren valley of Afghanistan or mounted on a tripod
