Actual values may vary PINNACLE® image intensifier tube technology is the latest development in state-of-the-art, tactical night vision equipment, allowing users to complete their mission objectives without being blinded by sudden exposure to bright light. Traditional night vision equipment does not offer this ability. Sudden bright light exposure renders the user ineffective until the lights are turned off - or the night vision equipment is removed. Special Operations teams often face entry into dark dwellings or structures under the cover of night. Night vision equipment is used to enter and navigate once inside. If the lights are suddenly switched on for any reason, traditional night vision equipment will "bloom" or "wash out" rendering the user temporarily blind. With PINNACLE® night vision products, users maintain their vision regardless of the amount of light they are exposed to. PINNACLE® night vision technology represents the apex in image intensifier tube development. The super thin-film (10,000 times thinner than a human hair) minimizes blooming caused by bright light exposure, while the auto-gating diminishes power to the system thereby decreasing the amount of amplified light allowed into the unit. MiNi-14 is the latest, lightest, and the most versatile night vision system on the market. Developed as an alternative to the US Military issue AN/PVS-14, it is capable of operating in depths of over 60 feet and uses multi-type (AA or CR123) single battery. With the use of optional accessories, MiNi-14 can be configured for any mission requirement: Hand held spotting scope (can be used alone, with optional magnification lenses, or attached to a daytime spotting scope with the optional universal adapter) Hands free mono-goggle (with the included headgear or optional helmet mount) Dual tube binocular and/or goggle (with the use of an optional Bridge Assembly, and/or magnification lenses, included headgear, or optional helmet mount) Day/Night weapon sight (with the use of the included weapon mount and night vision compatible red dot sight, or attached to an existing rifle scope with the optional universal adapter) Surveillance and night-time photography (with the use of the optional universal adapter) Want the absolute best? Since there is a significant variation of both performance and cosmetics even in the highest grade image intensifiers, we are now offering Hand Selected tubes for a nominal fee. Not only will these tubes meet (and typically exceed) minimum performance requirements, but they will also have as few cosmetic imperfections as the current techology allows.
