The 9AN is the flagship model of the Commander series of advanced rechargeable flashlights, it incorporates two independent lamps in a single reflector to provide either a super-bright 140 lumens for 40 minutes, or, by rotating the bezel, 20 lumens of general illumination light for 2 hours. The 9AN Commander is precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, finished in super rugged military specification Type III hard anodizing (available in Black or Olive Drab), and features an optically coated, tempered Pyrex lens window. The 9AN415 comes with two B90 batteries, a SmartCharger that uses microprocessor technology to protect the battery and charger from the voltage spikes typical of automotive and marine electrical systems, and an AC transformer and DC auto adaptor. The 9AN also features unique switching originally developed for law enforcement- twist for constant on, or depress the tailcap button for momentary illumination or emergency signaling.
